Taking a Break

Well, guys. We are going to be taking a break from basketball for about a month. I am going to be away and Charlie is going to be busy during September. We will try to resume playing on the last Sunday in September. If we don't get going then we will definitely start playing again in October. Check back here for details or contact me. -Ed

Yes! We wanna play.

Sunday, August 19 we will be playing basketball at 5:30 p.m. I may not be available but Charlie is going to run things. If you can, please send me a text and let me know if you're going to play. We will try to play on the 26th but if not this Sunday will be our last week to play until September 30.

Sorry for the late post. I've been playing in a golf tournament all weekend. We are playing ball tonight at 7:30. See you then.

Our "pick-up" basketball games were first started by Pastor Charlie Cole. They were a small gathering of a few youth and some other church members playing a little "cross court" basketball. Over time, the participation grew to where we set up and started playing full court. The weekly group size has varied greatly but there have been times when more than 20 people would show up to play. Some of our participants would drive from over an hour away to play, claiming that our games were some of the best around. Currently, the basketball program is on hiatus until someone can be found to organize and run it.
